Je pars aujourd'hui accrocher mon exposition "Wuhan, au fil des jours" au Mois International de la Photographie Eclectique de Dol de Bretagne!

Vous pourrez donc y trouver mes photos ainsi que des superbes expositions par des photographes connus et moins connus, mais tous talentueux.

Venez nombreux!

Voilà, la tournée bretonne est terminée...

Les artistes sont repartis dans leur oiseau d'acier et ont retrouvé la calme vie de Yunmeng et du théâtre de Mengze.

Un grand merci à tous ceux qui nous ont soutenu et encouragé, qui ont accueilli les artistes et tous ceux qui les ont applaudit à Rennes, Pontivy et Brest.

Ce projet prend donc fin avec un sentiment de satisfaction, de réussite...et surtout de moments de bonheur partagés.

Il est maintenant temps de passer à d'autres projets... 

Pour ceux qui regrettent de ne pas avoir acheté une des photos souvenirs ou un DVD du film lors des spectacles, il n'est pas trop tard et ces derniers restent disponible:

L'aboutissement d'un projet de longue haleine est sur le point prendre place.

Nous avons enfin réussi, grâce à le soutien inestimable de l'Institut Confucius de Rennes et de son directeur Blaise Thierrée à organiser la venue de Qin Ligang et de sa troupe du théâtre de Mengze en Bretagne.

Ils animeront des ateliers de découverte du théâtre d'ombre chinois dans des écoles et centres de loisirs et donneront aussi 3 représentations exceptionnelles ouvertes au public.

Deux d'entre elles seront précédées de la projection de notre film "Les ombres de Yunmeng":

-le mercredi 03 Mars au théâtre de l'ADEC, à RENNES

-le vendredi 05 Mars à l'Université de BREST (UBO)

Et une sans la projection:

-le mardi 09 Mars au Lycée Emile Zola, à RENNES

C'est la première fois que ces artistes sortiront de Chine et c'est donc avec beaucoup d'émotion que nous les accueillerons pour leur tournée française.

Voici une petite video Teaser que j’ai realisé pour le lancement du premier Maxi des Bunch of Crows. We've just had the details of the screening.

We're lucky since it will take place in the main venue of the Guanzhou International Documentary Film Festival!

Date: December 11th, Friday

We also had a look at the hotel website...and it doesn't look bad at all.

Some really good news, our film "Of Shadows and Men" will finally be screened in China!

The film has been selected to be part of the 2009 Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival!

The date of the screening is yet unknown but the festival runs from Nov. 29-Dec.13 2009.

We'll keep you updated when we have more details!

Il a été sélectionné pour le Festival International du Documentaire de Guangzhou, qui aura lieu du 29 Novembre au 13 Décembre 2009.

La date exacte de la projection étant encore inconnue, on vous tient au courant!

Our documentary film "Of Shadows and Men" has been signed for worldwide distribution on IndiePix Films! We had met them at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival and the deal has now been settled.

The film can now be purchased as a download everywhere in the world.

Notre film "Les ombres de Yunmeng" a maintenant été signé chez le distributeur américain INDIEPIX FILMS que nous avions rencontrés au festival Full Frame, aux USA.

Bunch of crows is a cool band based in Rennes, France, and they just finished recording their first EP.

We had an interesting chance meeting with wandering artist Stephen Baine in Rennes.

We even got the honour of appearing in that article.

"And speaking of Russia, today I met Aurelien who dropped by with food and drink and a mind full of good ideas. In fact he is a photographer and last night sent me a link to a bunch of photos of his visit to my house. You can click HERE to see some of them. It's impressive what a real photographer can do with a small space, the place looks huge, I wouldn't mind living there myself. This is a picture of him with his wife Elena (who is from Russia - you see finally the tenuous connection I am making). Aurelien has also made a documentary film about shadow puppetry in China, I was very pleased for their visit and hope to catch up with them again."

Well, it's not really fresh news but I realised I hadn't told you.

Hi everyone,

It's been a while but here are some good news.

My photographs will be exhibited at the OFF festival in LA GACILLY.

The exhibits will be there from the 5th of June till the 30th of Septembre.

I am happy to announce that "Of Shadows and Men" has been selected to participate to the prestigious International Ethnographic Film Festival Jean Rouch 2009, in Paris.

That is really great news because that is the festival where we really thought the film would belong. And that will be the first official screening in Paris...

The screening will be on Thursday the 19th of March, at 08:00 PM at the Musée de l'Homme, Paris.

Nous avons la joie de vous annoncer que "Les Ombres de Yunmeng" fait partie de la sélection officielle du Festival International du Film Ethnographique Jean Rouch 2009.

Nous en sommes vraiment ravis car c'est vraiment le lieu idéal pour ce film, et nous sommes certains qu'il saura y trouver son public.

De plus, c'est la première fois que le film sera projeté officiellement à Paris.

Most of you have probably seen it already but you can spread the word...
Our film "OF SHADOWS AND MEN" will premiere on the 29th of OCTOBER on  the Video On Demand website GLIMZ.NET where it will be available in the documentary section.
The film is in mandarin chinese and is subtitled in English.
For a better quality and to keep forever in your dvd collection between Bergman and Kaurismäki, I am happy to tell you that the dvd is still available from the Wuhan Films store at a ridiculous price. :)

Bonne nouvelle, notre film "Les Ombres de Yunmeng" a été séléctionné par le festival Cinéma Nouvelle Génération à Lyon.

Le festival aura lieu du 23 au 27 Septembre 2008 à Lyon et notre film fait partie de la catégorie Documentaires (Hors Compétition).

Le film sera projeté le 25 Septembre à 12h30 et sera rediffusé à 21h00 au Bar du festival.
